Alex is a programme director at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, University of Oxford. A former fund manager, he has 25 years of experience in finance, industry and academia. His research focuses on transitions to net zero that are consistent with improved sustainable development outcomes, and he works across energy, water, infrastructure and food. He recently published a working paper on corporate venturing and alternative proteins. Outside academia, Alex is the founder of OxEO, an earth observation company focussed on spatial investment risk.
